John Halbert Gilpatrick grew up in Coos County and lived all his life there except for briefly living in Alaska and San Diego, California.
San Diego is where he learned the trade of leather and vinyl restoration with the original company “New Life” service company, in 1986 John moved to San Diego to learn the professional craft and art of leather and vinyl restoration under the tutelage of Larry D. Johnson of New Life service company of San Diego CA.
John became a professional craftsman in a very short time. Working with such clients as Mercedes of San Diego, Alan Johnson Porsche Audi of San Diego;
Many restaurants and numerous private clients.
John Halbert Gilpatrick decided to go out on his own in San Diego CA. He got his own clients. He worked very hard at his craft and perfected it to the highest degree in the Leather and Vinyl Restoration.
